The contrast between a low pressure system moving northwards across the central Mediterranean and higher pressure to our east will create a strong southerly airflow over Malta and Gozo from noon today till 9am tomorrow Sunday.
The wind is expected to be Force 7 occasionally Force 8 from a southsoutheasterly to southerly direction with gusts up to Force 9 to 10 at times and with wave heights around 4 metres high from a southsoutheasterly direction!
Some slight damage may occur, especially on hilltops and in exposed areas. However, the Gozo Channel ferry service is not expected to be disrupted.

And a big thanks to Rita Attard for this pic taken at Wied iż-Żurrieq on a windy day.
