The contrast between a low pressure system moving across Italy and the Balkans and higher pressure over northern Africa will create a strong northerly airflow over Malta and Gozo on Sunday.
The wind is expected to be Force 8 gusting Force 9 to 10 from a westnorthwesterly to northwesterly direction with wave heights around 4 metres high from a westnorthwesterly direction on Sunday!
Some slight damage may occur, especially on hilltops and in exposed areas but the Gozo Channel ferry service is not expected to be disrupted.
