The Maltese Islands surrounded by thunderstorms as can be seen in this EUMETSAT rainfall estimate image but, as has been previously stated on more than one occasion yesterday, the storms weaken as they approach the Maltese Islands. This is what happened with this morning’s storm and so far there is NO indication of any heavy rain today but this could change later. Having said this, there is STILL a chance of heavy rain showers, possibly thundery and with hail over the next 48 hours.
