There is a slight threat of heavy rain showers and potential flooding today in the usual low-lying areas today as a large thunderstorm to our northwest is back building towards us. Any rain showers could be accompanied by lightning and thunder. Thunderstorms have already formed to our northwest (as can be clearly seen in this satellite image taken a short while ago) and are moving slowly towards the Maltese Islands.
