A cold front passing across the Maltese Islands

nasa-worldview-2013-09-30A cold front passing across the Maltese Islands can be seen in this morning’s satellite image with today’s high ranging from 26°Cto 28°C, around the norm for this time of the year. Tomorrow is expected to be a fine day with some clouds at times but with strong Force 6 northwesterly winds and maximum significant wave heights up to 2.5 metres high.

The map at top right shows the main areas affected. This is NOT dangerous but we recommend NOT to go swimming or to be out at sea in a small boat tomorrow Tuesday in the following places: Fomm ir-Riħ Bay, Ġnejna Bay, Għajn Tuffieħa Bay, Golden Bay, Anchor Bay, Paradise Bay, Ramla tal-Bir Bay, Ramla tal-Qortin Bay, White Rocks, Sliema, Dwejra Bay, Xwejni Bay, Qbajjar Bay, Marsalforn Bay, Ramla Bay, San Blas Bay and the outer parts of Xlendi Bay.
