The contrast between a low pressure system moving southeastwards over Italy and higher pressure further south will create a strong airflow over the Maltese Islands tomorrow Wednesday.

Winds are expected to reach Force 6 from a northwesterly direction from around 8am till 11pm. Since maximum significant wave heights are expected to be around 2.6 metres from a NW direction, it is advised NOT to go swimming or to be out at sea in a small boat all day tomorrow Wednesday in the areas marked unsafe in the map at the top left of this image.

Therefore, swimming or being out in a small boat is NOT advised in the following places tomorrow Wednesday: Fomm ir-Riħ Bay, Ġnejna Bay, Għajn Tuffieħa Bay, Golden Bay, Anchor Bay, Paradise Bay, Ramla tal-Bir Bay, Ramla tal-Qortin Bay, White Rocks, Sliema, Dwejra Bay, Xwejni Bay, Qbajjar Bay, Marsalforn Bay, Ramla Bay, San Blas Bay and the outer parts of Xlendi Bay.
