The contrast between a low pressure system over Greece and higher pressure over the western Mediterranean will create a strong northerly airflow over Malta and Gozo on Monday.
The wind is expected to be Force 8 at times gusting Force 9 to 10 from a northwesterly to northerly direction with wave heights over 4 metres high from a northwesterly direction from tomorrow evening till early Tueday!
Some slight damage may occur, especially on hilltops and in exposed areas but the Gozo Channel ferry service is not expected to be disrupted.
