Very cold arctic air from Greenland will penetrate the central Mediterranean tomorrow bringing heavy to torrential rain with possible flooding in the usual low-lying areas of Malta and Gozo from tomorrow Tuesday till Thursday as the low pressure system that will form moves slowly across Malta and Gozo. The heaviest rainfall is expected on Wednesday. Lightning, thunder, hail and strong winds are also possible during the rain showers. Rainfall totals from tomorrow Tuesday till Thursday may also be as high as 120mm. This is MORE than the normal rainfall expected during the whole month of December!
